Working Groups - What you need to know

Purpose

The goal of this program is to align the voice of the customer with the roadmap and development timeline for PTC software.  In this way, we can receive early and frequent feedback from you, PTC's key stakeholders.


What It Involves

To participate, members must have the willingness to:

  • Provide use cases
  • Participate in prioritization surveys
  • Participate in interviews
  • Participate in remote usability surveys
  • Provide written business justification

In addition, you will be required to participate in collaboration events like webcasts and team reviews of content for the project, including live demos and documents.

Available Working Groups

Creo Solid Welds

The team will work with the PTC PM to continue improvements to the solid weld capability.

Participates should be existing Creo Parametric 3.0 users that are interested in created solid welds in their models.

Sheet Metal experience would be a plus.  In addition, members must have installed and run Creo 4.0, and have used the solid weld functionality.

Deliverables: Use cases as well as white papers that can be leveraged to improve the capability in the software.  Some material was already generated by the TCs.  The Working Group will produce a whitepaper and use cases, verifying that all use cases have been addressed and detailing any gaps that still exist.

Multi-User Creo Schematics

Virtual Interconnect, a PTC Partner, will develop a Multi-User Experience for Creo Schematics.  This approach was agreed to by PTC, Vertual Interconnect, and the Routed Systems Technical Committe at the June 2016 Technical Committee meetings.

Participants should be existing Creo Schematics 2.0 / 3.0 users that are interested in creating a Multi-User experience that they would plan to deploy within their company.

Deliverables: Whitepaper proposing Multi-User versiion of Creo Schematics that will work seamlessly with standard Creo Schematics and Creo Schematics Lite.  The whitepaper will detail use cases and other similar items.
