The Problem of Creo3.0 When Using VSS

I met a problem using the software Creo3.0, and I am asking if you ever met it and how you solved it.

When I did the following practice[1]with Creo3.0(While the theacher in this video used ProE

Wildfire.), I couldn't do the step as the pictures[2]shows and the after. So I am asking you if there is a bug in the software Creo3.0 or there is some way to complete the model in the video with Creo3.0?

(a) Using Pro Widlfire5.0 this step and the after could be done successfuly

(b) Do the same practice wtihe your Creo3.0, it couldn't be completed and the software gave     these tips as the pictures.
