Good day everyone,
PTC Community is a very engaging space: I do not see many questions without a response and thank you all for your participation and willingness to share knowledge.
Just like an important email, you want to ensure the question you are asking gets noticed and responded to. From time to time, I see members asking their entire question within subject field. While not wrong, this is similar to writing in all caps; not a best practice. Here are my suggestions for asking a question - please add your tips.
In the Subject line:
- Keep it clear and concise: think appetizer rather than entree
- Utilize keywords
- Grab attention
In the Body:
- Be as descriptive as possible
- Have a call to action
- Remember: the problem is clear in your mind, you need to provide details that make it clear what you need from those trying to help you.
Thanks again for your participation.
Best,
Toby
